You may be right. I should probably keep them away from phones until 18 to prevent social media addiction. I should probably also keep them locked in the house until 18 to prevent drug or alcohol addiction. Or maybe I could just put in the time and effort needed to educate them about the dangers of such things and trust them. Like I already have with my three children who somehow, miraculously, turned out fine. It MAY be that you are right... or maybe you had shitty parents and are thus destined to be a shitty parent?
