A man who invented fifteen hundred necktie knots
- honeybadger1 3y agoI still can't remember how to do one on demand. I always have to pull out a how-to guide video and then fail at it about 4-5 times before it's the least-bastardized version of the knot. Do I have a problem?
- zakary 3y agoNo that’s pretty normal. the guy in the article has a problem
- mbrameld 3y agoJust wing it every time. Soon they'll be writing articles about all the knots you've invented!
- sigzero 3y agoI can always do a Four-in-Hand. Anything else is a video or instructions [1]. [1] https://www.ties.com/how-to-tie-a-tie https://www.ties.com/how-to-tie-a-tie
- jmrm 3y agoI just know half Winsor, and when I need to do the [trinity knot](https://agreeordie.com/features/fashion/626-how-to-tie-a-necktie-trinity-knot/ https://agreeordie.com/features/fashion/626-how-to-tie-a-nec...) for special events I have to look it up.
- cvccvroomvroom 3y agoABOK eat your heart out. I just want to know how to tie a bowtie so it has peaky right-angle corners in the middle on the outside edges.
- smitty1e 3y agoThat has to do with the physical shape of the material, not a naughty knot.
- cvccvroomvroom 3y agoOkay then, know it all, are you sure? Which knot configuration is it? Are you sure it's not cheating with starch or an insert? I've seen the same bowtie tied differently and looking completely different.
- smitty1e 3y agoA bow tie uses a bow knot. It could be double-sided or something to vary the appearance.
- Horffupolde 3y agoWhy fifteen hundred and not 1,500?
- smitty1e 3y agoI get amused at people looking at my bow tie and saying "I don't know how to tie that". So I point to their shoe and say, "The open secret is that it's the same knot."
- bradknowles 3y agoMy Keens are secured with elastic and Velcro. No knots.
