Intel bets big against ChatGPT's OpenAI, invests heavily in Stable Diffusion
- brucethemoose2 3y ago> Intel is also supplying Stability with an AI supercomputer that uses high-end Xeon processors, with over 4,000 Gaudi2 AI processors Even if Stability AI ends up being a total flop, that alone could be worth it. What Intel needs is people figuring out how to train on Gaudi, and publishing how they did it. And then customers will actually want to rent Gaudi to train on. And then hyperscalers will actually buy them. The current situation of A100/H100 or bust is kind of insane. But no one codes anything for anything else. Its chicken and egg.
