I'd argue the steam deck is equivalent if not better for couch co-op! You get to connect pretty much any bluetooth controller to it at the same time, you can pair a ps4 controller, a ps5 controller, an xbox controller and a google stadia controller, and they all work flawlessly. (Of course, the switch has the nintendo first party library of party games, which is worth a lot)
