The most impressive thing about this is that it has managed to get funded... I mean, has any skater ever thought "I want to listen to a hip hop playlist that mentions skating" - as someone into extreme sports I highly doubt this has ever been on a skaters mind. And how many people are walking around thinking they want a picture of a solar eclipse?! The device and its marketed use cases just seem so ridiculous, it honestly blows my mind that this thing exists.

To be fair the use-cases in Apple's Vision Pro release were equally misguided. Like the dystopic one where the father has this gigantic hockey mask on his face when asking his kid to blow out the birthday candles. Or the girl packing her clothes in a bag while CASUALLY wearing the face torture device so she conveniently can then receive a video call that she just has to take right then in video mode.
