Yes, most likely it's because you tipped "too much". When the service is outstanding, we tip ~5$ (or simply round the amount). I have rarely seen anyone tip more than that. On top of that, if you really have to tip, you tip in "average" restaurants as tipping in luxurious ones is extremely odd.
