I bought the 512 deck pre-order when it was released, remained sealed in the shipping package for 5 months on my desk, I am not a gamer, but had plans to use it as a portable ground station for robots and drones, got busy and never had the chance to do so, until one day my brother visited me and I gave it him.

- tamimio 3y agoI don’t think few hundred bucks will make you rich, but sure we can be friends!
- ShamelessC 3y agoAnecdotes tend to be over valued on HN so my distaste for them may come across as rude but man, this is a particularly boring story to share. Did your brother enjoy it at least? It starts off like a product story but winds up being irrelevant to the product. You don’t hate this product, you don’t love it, you are indifferent about it and didn’t even buy it for its stated purpose!
- tamimio 3y agoHe did enjoy it being a gamer, and he got all sort of accessories as I knew later. I honestly had big plans for it, I even have few 5G Quectel modems and planned to integrate one, and add the SDR I have too so it’s truly a portable ground station, but that happened during a big project I didn’t have the time for any of that, I still might do it, or maybe inspire someone in here who’s into robotics to do it!
