- repelsteeltje 3y agoLobbying by foreign, non-EU, countries, companies, NGOs. Usual suspects are in the spotlight for trying to stay out of them.
- raverbashing 3y agoSo more Thorn 'experts' than anyone else. Very cool, very honest /s (as usual I don't expect journalists to pick up on this)
- jjgreen 3y agoSee also the earlier discussion on (then still) secret list of experts: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=38189790 https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=38189790
- WhereIsTheTruth 3y agoThe five eyes.. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Five_Eyes https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Five_Eyes This is not lobbying, this is called Foreign Political Interference
- meepmorp 3y agoThese are people who work for the world's major tech companies, which are - in the context of the topic under - primarily US based. Who else would you expect to provide input on how the client platforms they provide might perform client side scanning?
- jjgreen 3y agoPeople who would stand behind their views, not hiding behind a veil of secrecy?
