All Saints’ Day gets a bit confusing in Sweden, because there are two of it — one on 1 November, which is not a public holiday, and one on the Saturday after, which is. The one on Saturday tends to catch people by surprise, because most don’t work on Saturdays anyway, so they don’t expect this Saturday to be special, but then it turns out that shops and services they expected to be open are, in fact, closed.
