- SoftTalker 3y agoCow farts are less bad as that methane is from current carbon (the grass or grain that the cows eat). It breaks down to water and CO2 in the atmosphere after about a decade at which point it's carbon-neutral. Methane from oil wells is additional carbon even after it breaks down.
