Working as a professional software developer has probably made me an insufferable cynic. But the top 3 projects on Github all look like superficial soon-to-be abondonware to me. Looks fantastic on a resume. But if you need a prompt in your Node CLI just implement it. It's not that hard. Don't pull in another node dependency for this one simple use case in your application.
- keepamovin 3y agoIt probably has. You probably need a more artistic and wider perspective. But also you haven't studied this guy for a long time and seen his work and creativity over a long period. The guy's the real deal, you're just not qualified to see it because you haven't put in the time, and, as you say, perhaps biased toward being a dismissive, pessimistic meanie by virtue of your unfortunate cynicism. I hope you find a way out of that! :)
- tln 3y agoIt's not that hard, but I'd rather see `import prompts` for even a couple of prompting uses than your hand-written 20 line ad-hoc re-implementation using `readline`. At least this module doesn't pull in too much more; just 3 total vs 14 for `prompt`.
