Apple Puts Freeze on Software Updates to Fix Bugs [video]
- bsaul 3y agoone week only ??
- lucasyvas 3y agoSounds like a standard bug bash. I was thinking like it would be more like a quarter.
- ulfw 3y agoAt this point one year would make the most sense. I loathe updating my iDevices nowadays (and have completely stopped wasting time on betas et al). Every update fixes one thing, breaks another. Silly stuff too like: oh, on your Apple Watch the heart monitor complification is gone. It's been there for ten years, yes yes, but now it's gone. Just wait a few weeks, we'll bring it back. Enjoy those 'other' bugfixes in the meantime!
- nerpderp82 3y agoIt has got to be bad. Everyone is pushing more broken updates everyday. We should have January be a national pay-down-tech-debt-month.
- justinclift 3y agoThey should probably move to a "tick tock" cadence for macOS releases. So they alternate years between rolling out new features in one year, then fix the damn things so they work properly the next year.
