How long will the stimulation work? I have a family friend who has developed Parkinson's and his doctors told him they could do something similar (I think shock in the brain though), but it would only work for a limited amount of time.

- imdsm 3y agoIs it the case that the disease continues to progress, so the absolute efficacy of the stimulation lowers over time, and becomes ineffectual?
- 7thaccount 3y agoI'm not sure, but just recall being told it would be a temporary measure and require drilling into the skull.
