They are probably used for those things more than for criminal purposes. I don't have to say that I am on the fence on certain aspect of gun control. Rules regulating storage (I'm from Canada) are in my view valid. So are rules on certain classes of guns. At the same time, any gun can kill so some of the restriction might not be useful but like I said I'm on the fence on a lot of these things.
