Detailed photos and discussion of counterfeit skincare products being sold on Amazon direct from brand's storefront. Confirmed with CVS to be fake goods.
Some discussion on whether or not skincare products are still comingled inventory, seems to be confusion on whether or not they are.
- PaulHoule 3y agoAMZN makes Dollar General look like Nordstrom’s. Might as well shop at Temu because the price is right there.
- paxys 3y agoI have genuinely had more luck finding cheaper and better quality deals on Temu and AliExpress than Amazon over the last couple years. Cancelling Prime and signing up for Target same day delivery was the best decision I ever made.
- LeafItAlone 3y ago> AMZN makes Dollar General look like Nordstrom’s. I am familiar with all of these but I’m confused as to what point you are trying to convey. Mind helping me out?
- PaulHoule 3y agoNormal stores have product listings that make sense. Go complain about “word salad” product listings and AMZN tells you they only want to hear about it if you bought the item. I’ve got little fear that Nike shoes at Dick’s sporting goods are really from Nike. I am always hearing about people buying something from AMZN which wasn’t what was described. And because of product co-mingling it even happens when you are buying from a “trusted” store. Thus I’ve come to the conclusion that AMZN is the last place I want to buy anything. It doesn’t help that in my ZIP code it seems AMZN is 3 days slower from “normal” retailers like Best Buy, Target, B&H photo, etc. Last Sukkot I got a lens shipped quicker from a famous camera store in NYC even though they were closed the day I ordered.
- WillPostForFood 3y agoYou can see in later comments from the original poster that it was not bought from the brand store front. It was bought from a third party seller called "Ramwest" https://preview.redd.it/1fcpox363oyb1.png?width=2010&format=png&auto=webp&s=3d2f0435726143fe92e92faf25af0c782b2a992f https://preview.redd.it/1fcpox363oyb1.png?width=2010&format=...
- LeafItAlone 3y agoThe “brand store” is misleading. You can absolutely go to the brand store, click on an item, and be presented with a random seller. It has happened to me frequently. You still have to check and choose the seller.
- WillPostForFood 3y agoDo you have an example? What I have seen is that you can go to the brand store, click a product which will take you to a page that has the brand's product. It can have third party sellers in the right column, but they won't be selected by default.
- LeafItAlone 3y agoSure! Go to that same CeraVe brand store, click on Face Moisturizers, scroll to the bottom to find “CeraVe Anti Aging Face Cream with SPF” and click on that. For me (right now) the default shipper and seller is a third party called “Justsomedeals”.
