Totally agree on the "cute" naming (and the cute strings too, turning them off on new installations is probably what most people do). If you can look past that, it is a well integrated and modern tool. Or was. Don't understand moving to Gitlab because of the bloat though. There are lots of lighter weight tools, but Gitlab is the whole kitchen sink and then some. The integrated-ness is part of the package with these tools.
