This is one theory, but it is certainly not established or the consensus view.
- ghaff 3y agoTo the degree that there's a consensus view, it's probably that Atlantis didn't exist in reality. (Or, at best, is based on very weak echoes of something that existed.) To the degree that it is based, however loosely on historical reality, Santorini is one of the better candidates.
- ffgjgf1 3y agoMany civilizations have various myths related to flooding and most of them probably have a basis in history. On its own that doesn’t mean much.
