Who cares about X?
Only shitposter and people who still think that the X followers they have really matter.
- Apocryphon 3y agoDuring tumultuous times of breaking news, such as wartime, it becomes a place for live updates, rampant disinfo, fierce debate, and blatant propaganda. Everyone hates the platform but it has a ton of engagement and traffic right now.
- anon23432343 3y agoYes propaganda created by troll factories all over the world! Thats were I want my not at all faked live updates from war were the situation is unclear to everybody besides these troll factories. Thats what I want!!!!
- Apocryphon 3y agoThat is what a lot of users unironically believe. Hate the platform, but understand its appeal.
- Angostura 3y agoWho cares about Twitch? All the public bodies, charities, non-profits, health authorities etc who still use it as a primary real-time communications channel
- anon23432343 3y agoExactly half naked woman in bath tubes that cater to 14 year old boys! If your country uses X as an emergency system then I would question the saneness of that country
- Angostura 3y agoI didn't say emergency. I mean stuff like the NHS, local authorities, charities etc, schools etc. putting out timely information to their followers
- nickthegreek 3y agoIve never seen those organizations use Twitch.
- Angostura 3y agoSorry I meant Twitter
- jokethrowaway 3y agoX is still the place to go to create an american audience. I always hated Twitter because it's like all social media - and it always worked like crap (poor UX, poor scaling), but all the US techies are there. It's way less popular outside of the US. The decentralised stuff didn't really catch on much from my experience, despite politicised people making an effort to recommend them. The usability is even worse than X
- anon23432343 3y agoYes and posting there US opinions in there broken US systems. You pay 200 dollar for an asthma spray? Oh wait a High Billionaire needs to change the platform so for the first time a shit poster can actually achieve something. Nice! And now the hole world should care!
- redserk 3y agoTwitter only had 23% of American adults using it before Musk's acquisition in 2021. Assuming these numbers haven't declined much in the past 2 years, YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram would be substantially better platforms to create an American audience. https://www.pewresearch.org/short-reads/2023/07/26/8-facts-about-americans-and-twitter-as-it-rebrands-to-x/ https://www.pewresearch.org/short-reads/2023/07/26/8-facts-a...
- anon23432343 3y agopssttt don't tell the twitter bubble that they are only relevant because journalism does not get enough money and its way easier to read tweets from PR agencies writing for politicians and bots psssttt

- drstewart 3y ago>Who cares about X? You care enough to have an emotional reaction to seeing it referenced. So that's one person at least.
