I generally agree, but it's very "larger city focused". Living outside of a larger city is ridiculously cheap, and your daily commute by private car will probably be about the same time, but cheaper, than public transportation.
What I mean is that you can buy a house for under $37.000 and live within 30 minutes from the 4th largest city, which leaves _plenty_ of cash for a car for each person in the house-hold, and you get the same salary as the city dwellers, so you just have more money overall. In addition to this, most places of work will provide you with parking for no additional cost.
- fosterbuster 3y ago120K people live in the city of Aalborg. And I refuse to believe that you can buy a house, at least one that doesn't require a significant amount of renovations for 260K DKK.
- spyke112 3y agoA very generous radius map search on Boligsiden reveal 4 andelsboliger at 250k kroner, so it’s obviously not possible to find a house at that price point.

- drainyard 3y agoPlease tell me where you find houses for under $37.000 in Denmark right now? Even outside of Aalborg you will pay at least $70.000-100.000. But yeah if you're a tech worker and can live with living outside of a bigger city, you will do fine.
- dusted 3y agoYeah, mine is for sale for under $100k, 20 minute drive from aalborg, we can say 500k dkk for a quick deal.
- spyke112 3y agoIf you want a decent house, then expect at least $150k, $37k buys you basically nothing. But expectations may vary depending on your origin i guess.
