My household rice cooker is a Tiger (also a higher end brand, not as flash as the Z). The people here swearing that cooking rice on a stovetop is fine don't take their rice seriously enough (although if it works for them etc). I've had cheapies before but they can't do my favoured preparation of half and half white and brown rice properly.
- peteforde 3y agoUnserious rice for unserious people. Joking aside, I'm genuinely surprised that nobody mentioned Uncle Roger's rice cooking explainers [at least as far as I saw].
- singingfish 3y agoOh man, when I spent 3 days in bed with covid earlier this year I managed to kill a great deal of time getting deeply into Uncle Roger's rice cooker based comedy. It's only funny because it's all true!
- singingfish 3y agoTo be honest, I should do a little bit of experimental steaming rice in my stove top pressure cooker and see how that goes.
