I think there's a lot of truth to what you are saying. However I still think man-made climate change is real and I think some of the response to it has been positive - like trying to design walkable communities. But I agree there is also a lot of unnessary fear mongering and accusations at ordinary people and doomsdayism. I hope what is essentially a positive thing (wanting sustainability) doesn't get overtaken and misused by fanaticism or people with other agendas.
