- andrewfromx 3y agoI remember going through this circa 2001-2005 as a Java Programmer. I looked into getting my class C big rig truck driving license. The line that got me was "my office is the open road and I have the best window office, better than any lawyer's corner office that's stationary." I had come to hate Java. But it turns out there are problems with being a truck driver too. I moved on to php, then rails, then golang and with self driving trucks now about to take truck drivers jobs, oh the irony of trying to leave computer programming to get into trucking.
