The double representation of Goddess Nemesis
- tsimionescu 3y agoThe writing is really shamefully full of typos (and probably worse mistakes as well), coming from an institute which is part of Romania's diplomatic arm.
- maximinus_thrax 3y agoNot surprising. Anyone competent is either leaving the country or working in the private sector. Most government jobs are reserved for the inner circle of the 'eternal party'. We'll start seeing nastier effects of the brain drain in more important areas, such as actual diplomacy, soon enough (some might say it already started with the whole embassy in Jerusalem thing years ago..).
- roughly 3y agoAn exquisitely-carved shrine to the goddess of revenge inscribed “Caius Herennius Charito fulfilled his promise” sends a goddamn message, doesn’t it?
- chrismorgan 3y agoHaving only read the title, it’s amusing me to imagine “double” being used in its common coding sense, a 64-bit IEEE 754 floating-point number. One specific bit pattern representing this goddess.
- bargle0 3y agoFor a goddess of vengeance, would that be a quiet or a signaling NaN?
