Just putting it out there: F*** dark mode (2019)
- Quinzel 3y agoI like dark mode for all the childish reasons listed in this post, and more. It just looks lovely.
- 8chanAnon 3y agoThe article didn't give any good reasons either for or against dark mode. My only question about it is this: why the gray on black? I can't read that. Do people have their monitor gamma cranked up to 11 or something? I just find it completely bizarre like recording videos in portrait mode even though every cell phone is perfectly capable of handling landscape (am I wrong?).
- micahdeath 3y agoI prefer grayscale mode. The only time I use dark is in dark theaters so I don't cast as much light.

- its-summertime 3y agoReally unfortunate attitude to have about the (only?) widely supported accessibility feature. Additionally it (along side red tinting) is super practical for a lot of sciences which require working in the dark; working with corals, astronomy, et al.
- simonblack 3y agoWe spent enough time in the 1970s and 80s with dark mode on our CRT terminals. We don't need it today as well.
