Book recommendation on company structures (flat, hierarchical etc.)
The company I work for is expanding, and there is a growing need for structure (right now it is quite flat). As I have only worked within this company, I lack knowledge of alternative company structures. Can you recommend books or articles on this topic?
- chiefalchemist 3y agoGrowth and structure is something to consider, but typically establishing and maintaining culture across a growing company is the challenge. I'd like to recommend adding culture development and curation to your list.
- zedwill 3y ago"Team topologies" by Matthew Skelton might be a good read
- jarno3000 3y agoI agree. A simple and understandable way for teams to work together with just enough structure.
- billibill 3y agoIf you're looking to understand how some companies are ditching the old school pyramid for a more modern and flat structure, check out 'Reinventing Organizations' by Frederic Laloux. It's packed with real-life examples of companies doing things differently and practical tips on how you can too.
