All-UK astronaut mission shows private enterprise is vital to space exploration
- zeristor 3y agotheconversation’s titles seem to be keyword stuffing for SEO: “All-UK astronaut mission shows that private enterprise is vital to the future of space exploration”

- bell-cot 3y agoBehind the ridiculous PR puffery - this is just the UK's also-ran space agency paying Axiom Space, Inc. (basically a high-touch travel agency for space) to take 4 UK astronauts to space & back. Probably traveling on SpaceX, to the ISS. I see no hint of the UK having, nor trying to develop, nor even aspiring to any sort of home-grown launch or space capabilities here. Given their history, this is really sad. OTOH - with how wretchedly dysfunctional the UK's government has become, in the past half-century or so...this probably is the best they can do.
