A Deep Dive into the Microsoft Radius Architecture
- jauntywundrkind 3y agoThe year is 2033 and Microsoft has know created more abstractions designed to 'simplify Kubernetes complexity' than they have created UI frameworks (which there like 8 of now). After Dapr made zero impact, it's hard to understand who would adopt this, why, or what has changed since the last time around. Just learn the real thing, it's not worth learning some boutique special other thing just because you are afraid of some kube complexity. Microsoft has basically created their own completely parallel apiserver, and just defines it in terms of things Azure does, even though it's what an apiserver does. They also seem to lack the honesty to identify these clear parallels: they are too busy repeating marketing bullet points that Kubernetes is complex & to be avoided. Using FUD while actually half cloning kube... Yikes.
