Here's a question that I have learned to ask myself whenever I am in that situation: "Okay, I don't feel like a $whatever. What knowledge, skills, or abilities would I need to have to to be considered that thing?" If you can't answer, then maybe you are the $whatever role here. or maybe "Would I consider someone else with my experience, skillset, and abilities to be $whatever?"
