Rust is a Linux Foundation project, and the process of adding more Rust code to Firefox is (to my knowledge) less of a priority. I love Firefox, but Mozilla enjoys shooting itself in the foot too much.
- steveklabnik 3y agoRust is not a Linux Foundation project. The Rust Foundation is its own foundation.
- 542458 3y agoRust was created by a Mozilla employee and sponsored by Mozilla, and Mozilla was the debatably the most significant organization-level contributor to the project from 2006 through 2020.
