Oh right, I've never had problems there but I've a good selection of decent power supplies. I've been using my Pi 4 supply with the Pi 5, no problems so far but I am only using one USB device (not a disk...). I can see why they did it but I agree it's pretty annoying. For the record, you can disable the new USB current limitation when using a 3A PSU, supposedly it still functions fine but as always, depends what you are doing.
