I highly doubt this is the place for debating anything regarding Israel/Palestine. It’s a near guaranteed flamewar.

- cassepipe 3y agoI don't know. Some people like to lazily dunk on HN but in my opinion this is where inflammatory comments get downvoted to oblivion and informative and interesting take bubble up. That is actually the only place on the internet where I can consider reading the comments.
- pxc 3y agoDoes this not result in effectively censoring views that differ from the consensus here, and in that way, views that don't align with the US' perceived foreign policy interests? Compare the HN blackout on the carpet bombing of Gaza to the half dozen or more front page submissions on ongoing events in Xinjiang over the past few years. To be that controversy-averse is a commitment to deep and unchallenged bias about matters of serious import.
- cooloo 3y agoIt's easy to be novel when it's not your friends qnd family being slaughter. When it's not your friend fighting horrifying enemy. Gaza was free for more than 15 years and ceasefire was in place until 7th of October 6:28am IST. The Palestine Hamas terrorism started a war , there is nothing nice aor novel about wars yet sometimes they are necessity.
