How does it differ from non-AI-generated materials?
- beardyw 3y agoPeople mostly don't simply make stuff up and present it as fact.
- nologic01 3y agoThis attitude of the commenter is very common on HN. "Humans are just algorithms, prove me wrong". But on the main topic, its quite ironic that in order to fact-check AI hullicinations 1) you likely need to spend serious human time and 2) you need objective and accurate search tools that are not contaminated by AI generated stuff
- beardyw 3y ago> you need objective and accurate search tools that are not contaminated by AI generated stuff Enjoy it while you can.
- pk-protect-ai 3y agoYou just did... People lie. That is a fact. They lie even more often than they realize it. They tend to lie when they are under stress, which can cloud their judgment and make them lie. They lie to manipulate others or to push their agenda. Yes, this is not happening 100% of the time, and it is not common normal behavior either, but this is a fact - people lie.
- beardyw 3y agoNo, I presented the truth as I understand it. No one can offer objective truth, they don't have access to it outside of narrow fields like mathematics. All we know is subjective. Presenting what we believe to be true is not a lie.
- pk-protect-ai 3y agoSo that mean everyone lies all the time and only mathematicians don't ... Right? Edit: >> "Presenting what we believe to be true is not a lie." Wrong. Distributing falsehood is to lie. Lie is opposite of truth. Believing in lies is a bias. Redistributing lies is still telling lies (not intentionally in this case). And this topic was about a lies created with AI, by a human, who used AI to make up these lies cheaper. So actually human have lied intentionally using AI as a tool.
