this is so funny. i see a future where ad-filled facebook, ahem, meta operated app store which is heavily subsidized like amazon fire store was in order to extract oh so analytics data on both android and IOS. same for google moving play store over to IOS with the same intentions. my only hope is f-droid will get more attention, it will get better and more resistant to "pressures", same for small projects like aurora store which would not need to hide behind enemy lines question. wouldn't amazon Kindle fall into gatekeeper because they only permit amazon store on their devices and do not allow easy jailbreaking and stuff.?
