You're missing the point that even when there's breadcrumbs to take, cybercriminals are still very interested.
Typically these operations are scaled so that it adds up and actually can make the fraudsters a lot of money. Don't underestimate the power of scale
- wutwutwat 3y agoThe power of scale is getting them busted because too many people are involved. One person buying up crypto in small amounts or laundring funds through cash apps is not going to get any attention and will be making 2x as much, or need to work half as hard, depending on their goals. A lifestyle fraudster, if you will, who is only concerned with doing enough to live comfortably and doesn't need a startup scale crime network. Greed is what brings them down everytime, startups and criminals
