If you want to see the extreme, come to Sweden. Here many see soft and hard skills as mutually exclusive. So hard work and understanding the nitty gritty details is extremely bad for your career, in many companies. You can imagine the culture it fosters. But the situation is improving somewhat. At least that’s my impression. Like a drunk that has hit rock bottom we’re on our way to recovery. :)
