I really, really wish I had possessed the fortitude to finish the sci-fi novel I started writing a few decades ago. The backdrop was post Reality Crisis, which occurred after faking pretty much anything became simple and available to the masses. Huge waves of paranoia had overtaken distressingly large portions of the population, who managed to uncover actual conspiracies in their digging for what truth really was, swaths of people had been convicted on falsified evidence, major elections were overturned, and so on. Nobody knew what to believe any longer.

- JohnFen 3y agoThat's what I come up with when I try to think of what the best-case result of all this will be. I sincerely hope that's what will happen (or something better that I haven't thought of). What I think is more likely, though, is it will result in a serious increase in the rate of people withdrawing from society and community altogether.
