I always thought that too. But, you have a vision for your startup. Not everyone has that same vision. If they start copying you, it's fine because you will always be one step ahead. I have found that the vast majority of people have lots of ideas but never want to put the effort into actually completing them. The ones that do usually have their own ideas and most likely won't be copying you.
