I stopped reading at this point because I knew he was driving a Kia. I rented one over the summer and those inexplicable dings on startup made me want to scream. And also that the steering wheel obscured the speedometer. I will never own one. My own Toyota beeps once to let me know it’s in “Ready” mode and that’s it. It’s got a clear dash, nice controls and I am going to drive it until it is unserviceable.
