We have a problem - that American's cannot afford and cannot obtain reasonable medical care. Where I live - in the US - the medical care is comparable to many third world countries.
The Economist has framed this problem in terms of "Doctors Earn So Much". It is not framed in terms of corporations making unconscionable profit, buying up medical practices. It is not framed in terms of drug companies charging so much that many people cannot afford medications and so end up going to the doctor many more times than should be necessary. They do not frame the problem in terms of hospitals paying doctors primarily based on how many patients they see rather than how effectively they treat patients.
Many doctors are now leaving primary care because the corporate drive for profits has made their work unbearable.
Our elected officials of both parties are so busy posturing and providing political theater that they have no time to solve the people's problems.
