In 2023 the #1 selling vehicle worldwide will be the Tesla Model Y, an EV. Toyota is one of the greatest manufacturing companies in human history but they do seem to have lost their way in recent years due to stubborn management. I think they will likely turn it around at some point and make a smooth transition to EVs but it's not a sure thing. We must remember that struggling GM was once even more dominant than Toyota is today.
