New AWS service lets customers rent Nvidia GPUs for quick AI projects
- ebb_earl_co 3y agoThis is good news if the price isn’t outrageous: I live in Denver, and their lowest-spec Local Zone instance was $300 per year as the Free Tier-eligible instances aren’t available in Denver Local Zone. So, I’ve soured a bit on AWS… However, I have been wanting to throw Whisper at some podcast episodes, especially Whisper-X (or another that does speaker diarization at the same time as transcription), but I don’t have an nVIDIA card of any kind.

- Havoc 3y agoI guess the innovation here is small time slice (day) and h100? GPUs on per hour basis is already quite common. Just not h100
