I moved from Austin to rural Texas ~2.5 years ago and it's so dark, it was disturbing at first. After a while you get used to it but it's still SO awesome seeing the Milky Way many nights. This past summer, I'd be outside working late (necessary in 100F+ heat) and turn off the lights, wait a minute and look up. It was breathtaking.. and we're not even in the darkest place.
