It's quite easy to tell when someone has little understanding of OS internals. They make comments like the above, and say Windows should get rid of what is pretty much its best feature, the NT kernel. NT was light years ahead of its time, and I daresay its threading, I/O, permissions, and driver models are in many ways superior to the competition. That userspace Windows sucks or is slow, is decidedly not a kernel problem.
