Enough ID-less cookies become a de facto ID pretty quickly. ID cookies are just the easiest method of fingerprinting users.
- mafuy 3y agoThis is one of the most harmless uses of a cookie one could imagine. It can only be used to identify someone in combination with other fingerprinting techniques, but applying those without consent would be illegal. Accordingly, its danger can be entirely dismissed here.
