On the "misaligned incentives" thing, I wonder if you could have a dating site that works as follows: - The user chooses a charity of their choice. - All subscription charges are kept in "escrow". - If after two years the user has spent at least one year in a long-term relationship as a result of the app, the app gets the money. - If after two years there's no success, the money goes to the charity. That way, the app has an incentive to get users into relationships that can at least last a year. But the user has no incentive to lie (they can never get the money back, for example). Details might need tweaking, but you get the idea.
