I'll never understand the degree of unearned trust start-ups tendbto get. Whatever they do, they have the benefit of the doubt. You want to contribute to research? Find and participate in a study for which you are a match. In that case, data is annonymized, and tailored to a specific disease / drug development / whatever. Sharing it, in a personalized manner, with a for-profit start-up without an alternative path to profitability is just so naive... Giving your DNA profile directly to the likes of GSK would be better.
