Digitalbox acquired TVGuide.co.uk Ltd for £0.47M
- not_your_vase 3y agoIs that a good thing? Is that a good price? Should I smile, or rather look for my pitchfork? Usually I don't like when others tell me what to think, but here we are, I am clueless.

- throwaway167 3y agohttps://archive.ph/di6SV https://archive.ph/di6SV - reason below. Is £0.47 million a lot? Where were they? 25 years ago, I remember as I stumbled on it when typing in URLs was a thing, the website looked IIRC remarkably similar as it does today. I recommended it to friends, who also liked the no-nonsense approach to providing TV listings. Again, that was 25 years ago. Is it a good thing that a website that's looked largely the same and done largely the same thing, albeit with operational costs, has an acquisition price of £0.47mn? Is it a wasted opportunity? Is it an escape from 'growth' and an example of a simple 'value' business and service? I'm drawn. - explain 3y ago> the acquisition is conditional upon the satisfactory upgrade of the TVGuide.co.uk website as part of the platform redevelopment. Digitalbox will pay £0.02 million on immediately on exchange to trigger the platform redevelopment
