Sam Bankman-Fried doesn't recall
- 1vuio0pswjnm7 3y ago"She is also cooperating with the government. If I have to bet on one of them, I'm going "balls long" Ellison." To be fair, SBF was never offered a plea deal. (He could still have pleaded guilty and spared us this embarrassment of a trial. Perhaps he calculated that he had a "5% chance" of being acquitted.) "The fall of FTX was in a way incredibly childish: a nerd posse running away with a bunch of other people's money in the stupidest and simplest way possible" I know this is really difficult to recognise, when the nerd posse is referred to as "executives", it's so easy to conclude "This is the future of business. How do I get in on it." /s Unless of course one has a working brain and is not simply reacting to what appears next on a screen. Perhaps taking away people's electronics before they enter the courtroom might cause their brains actually start working again. Suddenly an epiphany. The complexity is manufactured. It's a fabrication in the imaginary world of the idiot savant. Even the clothes SBF and Ellison wear to court give them away. These are outcasts that have no common sense, and do not listen to advice, assuming they are even getting any. (Parents of these kids are shocking.) They are living online, not in the real world. How can anyone believe they are adequate fiduciaries. "I understand Bankman-Fried went to MIT and majored in physics and was a successful trader on Wall Street. But sitting on the stand, he resembled nothing so much as a child who's broken a family heirloom and is insisting his invisible friend did it." I'm sure we could find plenty more MIT Physics majors with similar levels of emotional intelligence. True, SBF may have been "a successful trader on Wall Street" but he worked for proprietary trading firm. He never handled client funds. He only gambled the firm's money. It's not like he worked at an investment bank, as did at least one of the jurors.
