Watching a loading spinner yesterday for ages on my X-Box and my son starting rage-clicking I realised giving users some feedback on their clicks, even when nonsensical might be a good UI pattern. Similar to users clicking buttons in an elevator for doors to close faster, even though they don't do anything. Here the users is leveled up as soon as the "worm" catches its own tail.
