Alan Wake sits very comfortably at the top of my personal chart as the best game experience I have ever had.
I truly look forward to a year or so from now when the game finally makes it's way to Steam, fully patched and ready to go for Linux play. Until then, I'm content with playing the vast catalogue of non-exclusive games available.
- geku3 3y agoThis game is published by Epic, it likely won't come to Steam for a very long time.
- ShamelessC 3y agoUghhhh, I won’t shoot the messenger but that is so annoying to hear.
- MrDresden 3y agoI'll gladly wait. Don't see the rush.
- altairTF 3y agoInteresting, it may never go to steam
- TylerLives 3y agoI'll wait
- altairTF 3y agoYour determination is unmatchable
- zirgs 3y agoIt was funded by Epic - so it's unlikely to be a timed exclusive.
- Nullabillity 3y agoI guess they'd rather have people pirate it then.
- zirgs 3y agoGame not being available on steam is a pretty weak excuse for piracy. Epic simply doesn't want to give 30% to a competing store.
- henriquecm8 3y agoIt's unlikely that it will ever come to steam, it was funded and published by Epic, it's basically a second party game. I don't see it coming to steam unless egs closes. Remedy made a deal with Epic to publish 3 games, some people say Alan Wake Remastered was the first, and Alan Wake 2 is the second.
- doikor 3y agoIt’s not “some people say”. It’s their yearly/quarterly reports saying that. (Also it’s two games) https://investors.remedygames.com/app/uploads/2023/03/remedy_annual_report_22.pdf https://investors.remedygames.com/app/uploads/2023/03/remedy... They also have 2 more games with 505, max payne remakes with Rockstar and one game with Tencent.
- henriquecm8 3y agoOther people corrected about the Epic deal being only 2 games, but for some reason I always forget that and say 3 because is what I remember. The 2 games with 505 are Control 2 and Project Condor (Control coop spin-off). Tencent game is Project Vanguard, a live service game, hinted to be related to Control, and the Keystone AWE.
